Located on the southern banks of the Thames, Putney is the starting point of the annual Oxbridge boat race. The riverside pubs, bars and restaurants draw a lively crowd of young professionals, while Bishop’s Park and nearby Richmond and Wimbledon Common provide a peaceful escape from the city.
Many of the private dental practices here offer cosmetic procedures such as straightening, whitening and implants, besides check-ups and emergency work. Some, such as the Putney Dental Surgery, also accept a limited number of NHS patients.
It’s relatively easy to find practices that open in the evening or for at least one morning on the weekend. For example, Putney Dentists offer appointments from 8:00 to 13:00 on Saturdays.
