More Information
MSH @ Queens Park is a free and confidential NHS sexual health service based within Queens Park Health Centre, London W10. The service is run by MSH Health & Wellbeing Community Interest Company (MHW-CIC).
MHW-CIC is a not-for-profit social enterprise based in Islington but working across inner London. We are commissioned to provide some NHS services within the tri-boroughs of the City of Westminster, London Borough of Hammersmith & Fulham, and Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea. The MSH @ Queens Park service is part of our NHS portfolio of services. We have a multidisciplinary team which is Nurse led and are regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
The MSH @ Queens Park service is one of London's only out of hours sexual health services, operating on a Thursday evening and Saturday afternoon.
We operate a booked appointment (priority) and walk-in service. Appointments are booked exclusively via Zesty or from calling our administration line. If you are attending without an appointment as a walk-in patient please ensure you arrive at least 30 minutes prior to the clinic closure time, and during busy periods be prepared to wait to be seen, although we guarantee to see all who attend.
We offer a full range of sexual health services, including rapid diagnosis and treatment for sexually transmitted infections (STIs), Point Of Care Tests (POCT) for Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) with immediate results during the consultation, cryotherapy (freezing) treatments for genital skin conditions such as warts and Molluscum, and vaccination for Hepatitis A and B.
In addition during Saturday clinics we have a contraceptive specialist available and provide contraception consultations for female clients, including provision of oral contraceptives, patches, Nuraring and Implants. Please note we do not provide depo injection or Intra Uterine Devices (IUD) or Intra Uterine System (IUS). For these methods we refer onto Raymede Clinic at St Charles Hospital (020 8962 4450).
Emergency Hormonal Contraceptive (morning after pill) is available both Thursday and Saturday Clinics, but needs to be accessed within 72hrs of the unprotected sex or condom failure.
Post Exposure Prophylaxis (PEP) following potential exposure to HIV is not provided via our service. We can undertake an initial assessment of potential risk and refer you to an Emergency Department if indicated.
Free condoms are available during consultation and a limited selection is readily available within the waiting room or from reception.
We accept all patients at the clinic and you do not require a referral. The clinic is completely confidential and you are not required to provide ID, proof of address or immigration status (unless you request a summary letter of your results for which there is an administration charge of £25).
We particularly welcome attendance from those under 25yrs, black and minority ethnic groups, gay, bisexual and trans persons, those working in the sex industry, those for whom English is a second language, and everyone else who finds the bigger, busier sexual health clinics a bit too hectic!
From arrival at reception, throughout the consultation and assessment, through to tests being taken and results given, we strive to offer a friendly, personable but professional experience which focuses on your needs.
Finally, it's good to know that some results are available during your consultation (e.g. rapid HIV testing) but for those test sent to the laboratory, you will receive a text/SMS message two weeks after your appointment with the results, even if all negative.
We look forward to seeing you soon!
